Book marketing is hard. We're fixing that.
Book marketing is hard.
You spent months (maybe years) writing your book. You poured everything into getting it right. And then you published it and realised that was actually the easy part.
Now you need a marketing strategy. A content plan. An email list. A lead magnet. Landing pages. Social posts. Welcome sequences. And somehow you're supposed to figure all of that out while also, you know, having a life.
Most authors end up in one of two places: either they hire a marketing agency (which can work brilliantly, but costs thousands), or they cobble something together from blog posts and YouTube videos and never feel confident it's actually working.
We're building bookfluence to give you a third option.
The problem we kept seeing
Every author we spoke to had the same story. They'd written something they were proud of, but when it came to getting it in front of readers, they felt completely lost. Not because they weren't smart enough to figure it out. Because the marketing side of publishing is genuinely overwhelming when you're doing it alone.
Where do you even start? Do you need a website first, or an email list? What's a lead magnet and do you actually need one? Should you be on Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Goodreads, Facebook or LinkedIn or all of the above and more? What do you post about when you've only got one book?
The advice out there is endless but most of it is generic. "Build your author platform" is easy to say. Knowing what that means for your specific book and your specific reader is a completely different problem.
What bookfluence does
We're building a set of tools that take your book details and generate a personalised marketing system around them. Not templates. Not generic tips. Actual usable outputs built specifically for your book.
Here's what's in the toolkit:
StoryEngine takes your book details and generates a personalised 3-part marketing strategy. Positioning, messaging, audience targeting, and a clear plan for reaching readers. Not the kind of advice you could find in any "how to market your book" article. A strategy built around your specific book, your reader, and your goals.
StoryDrive picks up where StoryEngine leaves off. It takes your strategy and turns it into a ready-to-use content roadmap, email sequences, and the full document suite you need to actually execute. No more staring at a blank screen wondering what to post today.
Reader Magnet Creator (currently for non-fiction authors) builds you a professional lead magnet, which is the thing that gets readers onto your email list in the first place, plus all the surrounding copy: landing page, welcome email, social posts. The whole kit.
StoryEngine and Reader Magnet Creator work as standalone tools. StoryDrive is designed as the next step after your strategy, turning the plan into action.
How it works
You fill in a short questionnaire about your book. It takes about 15 minutes. From your answers, we generate your full marketing package, then our marketing team reviews and refines everything before it reaches you. You get something you can actually use, not a wall of generic suggestions.
Whether you're pre-launch, just published, or your book has been out for a while and you've never properly marketed it, the tools work the same way. They meet you where you are.
Who's behind it
bookfluence was founded by a team of marketing professionals who've spent years helping businesses grow their audiences and sell their products. We've run social media strategies, built content systems, and managed campaigns across many different industries. When we started working with authors, we realised they faced the same marketing challenges as any other business, but with a fraction of the budget and almost no support.
That experience is baked into every tool we build. The strategies StoryEngine generates aren't based on what sounds good in theory. They're built on the same frameworks we use with our own clients, adapted for the realities of book marketing. And everything that comes out of the system goes through human review before you see it.
Where we are right now
We're in beta. The tools are built and working, and we're testing them with real authors to make sure the outputs are as good as they can be before we open up properly.
That means if you're reading this early, you're in a good position. Beta testers get full access to the tools for free. All we ask in return is honest feedback on what works and what doesn't.
Why keep reading?
Author Intel is where we'll share what we're learning as we build bookfluence. That includes practical book marketing thinking you can use whether you ever buy a tool from us or not, behind-the-scenes updates on what we're building, and early access when new tools launch.
We won't flood your inbox. We'll post when we've got something worth saying.
If you're an author who wants more readers and less guesswork, subscribe and come along for the ride.
